I am really sick of my views being trashed by people who have no idea what they’re talking about. People saying “obesity does this” and “obesity does that” and using obesity as shorthand for bad diet. Relentlessly. Assuming that obesity only refers to the people who are actually physically debilitated by the amount of their fat. Not realising that obesity actually refers to the 170lb woman at their post office or whatever. Not realising how incredibly “normal” (covert!) a morbidly obese person can look and walk and act. 

It’s like saying the high mortality rate of people with gigantism means that tallness is a cause of early death. Not all big people (by any axis) are the same or big for the same reasons.

Qualify your motherfucking terms. “Obese” is fast becoming moot to me.
