So anytime now enrollment to vote for over 1 million eligible Australians who haven’t yet will close. If you don’t enroll asap? Tough: you’ll miss out.
The number of unenrolled people likely to miss out is enough to swing the entire federal election. The majority of the people likely to miss out are youth.
The real kicker here is that the historic changes this election will determine - climate change, migrant rights and whether the legal foundations of womens rights are attacked under Abbotts teabagger style leadership - all stand to affect younger Australians the most.
