I have always been a proponent of human names for pets.

Ages ago I wanted a cat named Richard.

If Miffy wasn’t called Missy, I would have renamed her Bev or something. I just worried she wouldn’t answer to a name that didn’t sound like her original name. Then again, we don’t know if her original name was Missy. So like, ugh opportunity missed.

Miffy therefore has a new middle name.
