vanity is a term used to make people feel guilty about loving themselves

I feel like I really understand this now and so whenever somebody calls me “vain” (it seems to happen a lot), I always automatically just assume it is a compliment. I know that is so weird, OMG and I also do it with “selfish” because I have now realised that people generally say that when you’re doing what YOU want to do rather than what THEY want to do! perception of words are so funny, I wanna talk more about this soon.
