Thanks for all the support, it means a lot.
Some people were confused about my medical situation - I have type 1 diabetes. Not type 2. I need a medical certificate that basically says I don’t have low blood sugar attacks too often. Hypos cause loss of concentration and body function, sometimes even consciousness, thus the driving risk.
It’s very tiring having to constantly educate people about type 1 diabetes. People frequently assume I have type 2 because I’m fat and it’s pretty upsetting. Please quit assuming you know about my heath from looking at me.
You know only what I tell you. You know only what anyone tells you.
PS: And yes my pancreas is dead, it does nothing useful. No amount of “diet and exercise” or hinky homeopathic remedies can revive it - I have type 1 diabetes. People are so caught up in type 2 panic they fail to understand the difference between the conditions - my endocrinologist told me he thought they should have different names.
