I really strongly oppose so much of what GD writes, but when I started to understand what I wanted from blogging I wanted to see if I could challenge this school of blogging that succeeded only because it doesn’t rock the boat. I wanted to go up against the problematic fashion/ lifestyle/ personal style blog and do it on my terms, less hurtful terms while recognising the privilege that I do have and giving voice to my experiences as a fat mentally ill woman with disabilities. So that’s what I mean by Fat Gala Darling, I guess!
