I’m really glad you think it’s funny. “THYROID” right? Why don’t those lazy bitches just get up and exercise right? HA!
Fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you
Since I was diagnosed with Graves disease I’ve learnt so much about thyroid disease. Every case is individual and every symptom affects sufferers in different ways.
People might assume I have an underactive thyroid because I’m fat, but I’ve got an overactive thyroid. I didn’t lose a single kilogram before I was diagnosed, much to the surprise of many doctors. I did however suffer with heart palpitations, insomnia, debilitating anxiety (still do even though I’ve been on medication for over a month) and suicidal ideation.
Assumptions about other people’s bodies and “health” are fucked up. And none of anyone’s business.
EDIT
I just want to tell everyone about the time one of John Birmingham’s merry band of trolls reported that I couldn’t possibly be a good advocate for being fat because I have numerous health problems.
Yeh, even if I did have fat related health problems I would be a way better advocate for fat people, as an actual fat person with fat bodied experience, rather than a skinny person. FAT PEOPLE HAVE HUMANITY, DIGNITY AND VOICE.Fuck health as a moral yardstick for dignity.
