Do people honestly get offended when people say things are gay?
Because I say everything is gay, you are gay, school is gay, work is gay, gay men are gay.
It doesn’t mean I hate gay people and think what they do is immoral, it’s just a handy word to use.

No, it’s not a fucking handy word to use, it’s appropriative and disrespectful to the people who ACTUALLY ARE GAY. oh my god this pisses me off so badly.
Using the word gay in negative terms just reinforces the awful, bigoted belief that being homosexual or non-heteronormative is something to be ashamed of. The English language has a HUGE range of words, synonyms that you could easily use instead of gay yet you insist on using it. I’m sorry, but that just shows your willful ignorance and marginalizes minorities even further.
I’m not the most eloquent person so would someone else care to articulate why exactly using the word “gay” in negative contexts is fucking abhorrent?
