“Before I say anything about the music from Brisbane’s Charlie Mayfair let it be noted that the artwork for this debut EP is KILLER. Appearance alone has me confident that I’m going to like what I hear inside. I wasn’t wrong. ‘Watch My Hands’ is a five-track harmony wonderland that avoids the dull, listen-as-I-drift-to-sleep slump folk can fall into. Tracks like ‘Sing Me To Sleep’ and ‘If I Fell Down’ are filled with punchy percussion that infuses the whole EP with a strong pop vibe that blends perfectly with their folk persona. This debut hits all the right notes of your typical pop-folk group.”

Scene Magazine review of Charlie Mayfair’s debut EP “Watch My Hands”.
I did the artwork, I did. It’s nice to do design that tells people “IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOX!” Especially when I’m feeling kind of crap about my work. I usually feel kind of crap about my work when I get itchy to push beyond what I’m doing, except I don’t have the luxury of time to work on my own stuff right now. It’s frustrating!
