I am writing a mock proposal for a comparative analysis project that would look at the difference between fat activism and fat-positive community-building in Australia and the U.S. I’m not going to actually CONDUCT this research (in part because it would be ethnographic in scope and thus I’d have to, you know, GO to Australia which is sadly not something I can afford to do!), but I do need help collecting a bit of background info about the history of fat activism in Australia. Anyone who can point me in a helpful direction gets my eternal love and gratitude…

I wish I could contribute more knowledge, but I really don’t know much about the history of fat activism in Australia because I got involved online about 10 years ago with American FA people because nothing was happening in my local area here!
So I’m reblogging this in the hopes that other Australians have access to information on the history of FA in Australia.
