Hi Natalie, Thanks for sharing the link to the lupus and spoons story. I have a good friend who has lupus and while I do understand more of the medical side this has been helpful for me to understand the non-technical stuff. I didn't realise you have lupus too? Enjoy your day, Charlotte x

Ooh, to bring my tumblr readers up to speed if they don’t follow me on twitter, I posted The Spoon Theory earlier. I’m sorry to hear about your friend - I don’t have lupus myself but I do have a cousin with lupus.

The Spoon Theory can be a useful tool for those with medical/ health/ mental/ other conditions to explain how draining day to day life can be. I deal with my diabeetus, depression, anxiety and reoccurring glandular fever symptoms and some days I barely have any spoons left to deal with my work, my pet causes, self care… let alone the other things that other people want to put on me.

I think many people feel like this, which is why the spoon theory seems to resonate.
