My doctor.

I believe that physical pain, ailments, and any health issues are all made up and part of your imagination.

If you believe you are healthy and well and practice positive thinking, nothing can harm you.

This has been proven in my experience and life. I’ve been sick once as an adult. I accredit that sickness to the fact that my energy was low and I was having very negative thoughts at that time.

Natural remedies are great otherwise, though.

Some examples:

Celery reduces blood pressure and can be used as a cleansing tonic after the stagnation of winter.

Garlic can be used as an antihistamine and known to reduce blood cholesterol levels. The cloves are effective for skin infections and acne.

Cayenne can be used as a gastric stimulant and its warming properties have been used for chills and depression.

[etc.]

Well I wish I had known this when my dad was alive so I could tell him the leukemia was all in his head so he could just un-imagine it and still be here to meet my son and boyfriend and see how well I’m doing.

At least I can tell my grandpere before he dies of the colon cancer that recently came back that all he has to do is be happy and he can get better and that the blood coming out of his ass is just imaginary.

(I’m not usually this mean, but this post really fucking upset me. And I usually really like her posts.)

Oh, yeah, let me tell this to my big brother. Oh, wait, he’s fucking dead. He also died of leukaemia. He was positive as anything. He loved dinosaurs and Mighty Max. And now he’s dead.

Or, let me tell this to my aunt. Endometrial cancer. Or the grandad i never met. Angina & MI.

I fucking reserve the right to be “mean” when people go around spreading hurtful, harmful lies.

@mycelarue:

come experience the pain I do every day, every hour, every minute, and the pain that I will continue to feel for the rest of my life. however long or short that may be. or the pain my grandfather felt after contracting dysentry during his capture in WWII.

we’ll see if you still believe what you say you believe.

books like this can be really handy to have around, if you have access to the vast list of obscure herbs and roots that they include - many of which are sold at a premium through ‘health/nutrition’ and organic produce stores. especially if you live in the boonies like I do and don’t exactly have the spoons to go out and pick/identify plants yourself. they can be great supplementary tools. I use arnica and ginger all the time.

but we could certainly do without your attitude, seeing as you have the privilege of not having to experience illness and chronic conditions - so far.

(fwiw, I used to have a similar attitude. then I realized no, I really am sick. I’ve always been sick. and needed to get over myself.)

Next time I have a life-threatening allergic reaction (which I’ve written about here), I’ll be sure to spread some garlic on that shit, for the antihistamines. IT WILL MAKE IT *~ALL BETTER~*.

Oh, wait. Anaphylactic shock can fucking KILL YOU if you don’t take actual medicine for it and/or seek medical attention. It has almost killed me several times (even with medical attention).

I hate this “your health problems are MADE UP, you FAKER” shit. In MY EXPERIENCE (see what I did there?), health problems and physical pain are very, very real. And they’re not going away, no matter how much “positive thinking” I do or how many “natural remedies” I waste money on. Your “belief” is most likely a product of your not having serious health problems. How wonderful for you, but your experience is not universal.

All that commentary. [img: “The Complete Medicinal Herbal”, a book]

OH HAY pancreas, lemme talk you into producing islets!

A family friend who is into homeopathy told my mother that it could cure type 1 diabetes. Ummmmmmmmmmm. No.
