This morning the sun has been shining. When bad things happen you expect the whole world to hang its head and nod somberly but that rarely happens. Except when my Papa died, it rained for days. But today the water is rising and the sun is shining. I don’t understand it. We live on a high bit but Brisbane is full of hills. All the low streets are filling up as the sun beams down. Restaurants, pontoons, boats and flotsam are floating down the river and places where we have walked, worked and laughed have washed away.
This is so surreal.
